so why the name?
can you see my pic in the profile?
what do you think? maganda ba? cool?
yes, that is a real tattoo. a real tattoo on MY back. i have been inked. and this is my first post about it.
i said that anything about me or about my family will be posted in my other blogs. so why am i sharing? just to add history to the blog.
first of all it is the year 2008. this year i will be turning 30. a big leap if you ask me. starting a new decade. (waaahhh tumatanda na ako.) and i would like to start a new me.
we were inspired by L.A. Ink in Discovery Travel and Living. we saw that tattoo was an art and an expression of one's self. we were inspired by other people who would have their tattoos as a reminder of things that happened in their life. and tattoo is not taboo anymore. many people are having it - even ladies.
and having a tattoo is my first adventure of the year. it took me a while to think of a good design. i wanted it to be symbolic. not just some design i saw in the net or on somebody else's body. something that would remind me of things that happened to me. so i thought of a design that would represent my life while i was in japan. so many good things happened to me there. things that i will never forget.
"In Japan, cherry petals/trees are a symbol for the beauty of transient things. It's the concept that when you know something is short lived, it makes you appreciate it more when it's around and adds to its beauty and sadness. " - WikiAnswers
so for me, this sakura tattoo symbolizes my short stay in japan. it was short, but very meaningful, beautiful and memorable experience.
for detailed kwento about having the tattoo, read my other blogs.
