Mermaid

I guess it was supposed to be sexy, instead it's just ugly (+ the wonderful stars that look as if the tattooer was trying out color samples)

Brandon Lee (The Crow)

The horrifying factor here, comes from the picture selection. There are hundreds of cool pics of The Crow, but this guy chose the happy-smiling clown like one, with Brandon shiting or watching TV ...

Femalish Creature

Rule nr 1. before you get a tat (either in prison, tattoo parlour, or from a weird exhibitonist who steals your cutlery while you sleep) , make sure that he or she can draw better than a preschooler.

Autoportrait

It isn't the worst tat in this collection but the fact that someone tattoos himself his/hers face among some waves and balls is just horrible (or is it Mr. Spock ? That's my second hypothesis ).

"Why ?" Heart

Probably it was supposed to be a deep philosophical tattoo, which cannot be understood sober. Instead we have  a shitty one.

Tribal + Bulldog + Dragon

The cliché stew

Chinese Tattoo

The art of tattooing in China actually dates back much farther then its in the West. Until very late in the 20th century and mainly in the early 21st century, tattooing becomes fashion in the West. The art of tattooing has a long history in Asian including China, Japan, and even Thailand. What are ironic about these are Chinese tattoos were mostly used in many of the Asian cultures to mark criminals and other social deviants. However in Asia since tattooing was done in criminals and social deviants most designs were very large and often full body pieces especially in Japan. These often are very expensive designs and time consuming and also led many western tattoo enthusiasts to opt for Chinese tattoos.

Chinese Tattoo

Regardless of the Chinese tattoos have been widely adopted into the western tattoo lexicon, the mystique and foreignness of an Chinese tattoo and the beauty of Chinese and Japanese writing have really sparked a lot of interest among western tattoo enthusiasts. There are many beautiful Chinese designs well to tattooing. Recently there has been a huge rise in these fields of tattooing. With popular TV shows like Miami Heat in LA Inc. being broadcast on national TV, more and more people are getting tattoos. The particular fascination for many is Chinese tattoo symbols and designs. The beautiful script used in Chinese tattoos led itself well to creating mysterious and ancient looking tattoos. It is not easily discernible by the average Westerner. Therefore, when you consider getting a Chinese or Japanese tattoo, you are well advised to check their overall design especially the writing with a native speaker of the language. It is because here are many incidents where a person is purchased a flash tattoo at a tattoo shop thinking that it meant one thing later find out that that's a totally different.

Chinese Tattoo

There are a wide variety of beautiful Chinese tattoo designs throughout Asian cultures. The most common Chinese tattoos are often the representative of important values, such as a simple word that represents themes like love, strength, and power. For those who wish to embellish their tattoo with smaller themes designs they can easily accompany Chinese Japanese writing a script. Men will get Tiger, lion, or dragon to accompany the Chinese tattoo design. On the other hand, women will tend to opt for more delicate designs such as the cherry blossom, yin yang symbol, or a koi fish design. Another common tattoo among western tattoo enthusiasts is to seek a translation of something important in the Chinese. It is very common to get the names of their children translated into Chinese and the tech to them on their shoulders arms or back.

Rude Girl

Yep, the tampon theme is alive and kicking, accompanied by a gorgeous "rude girl" skull.

P.S. Since when do skulls have lips and eye lashes  ? And do I see a band-aid there ?

Valentine's Day Bonus

Horribly true.

Einstein or Monroe

Just stumbled on this image.
Who do you see?
If you are close to the monitor/display, you can see Albert Einstein. Try to move a little farther.

A little more...
A little more...
Now, who do you see on the image?
It is Marilyn Monroe.

Portrait

It is hard to depict depths in the face structure, but this tat is so wrong that you need a good dose of investigation to make out the age, let alone the sex.

no time

lately, i find it difficult to manage my time. there is just so many things to do in so little time.
i still haven't launched this blog. im still not certain if i should tell the whole world about my tattoo. it is not really for everybody. this is just for me.

Burned Lions

I know that those are supposed to depict lions but Blake's poem fits perfectly here.

Tiger, Tiger, burning bright
In the forest of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

Why Sakura Tattoo

sakura-tattoo.blogspot.com

so why the name?
can you see my pic in the profile?
what do you think? maganda ba? cool?

yes, that is a real tattoo. a real tattoo on MY back. i have been inked. and this is my first post about it.

i said that anything about me or about my family will be posted in my other blogs. so why am i sharing? just to add history to the blog.

first of all it is the year 2008. this year i will be turning 30. a big leap if you ask me. starting a new decade. (waaahhh tumatanda na ako.) and i would like to start a new me.

we were inspired by L.A. Ink in Discovery Travel and Living. we saw that tattoo was an art and an expression of one's self. we were inspired by other people who would have their tattoos as a reminder of things that happened in their life. and tattoo is not taboo anymore. many people are having it - even ladies.

and having a tattoo is my first adventure of the year. it took me a while to think of a good design. i wanted it to be symbolic. not just some design i saw in the net or on somebody else's body. something that would remind me of things that happened to me. so i thought of a design that would represent my life while i was in japan. so many good things happened to me there. things that i will never forget.

"In Japan, cherry petals/trees are a symbol for the beauty of transient things. It's the concept that when you know something is short lived, it makes you appreciate it more when it's around and adds to its beauty and sadness. " - WikiAnswers

so for me, this sakura tattoo symbolizes my short stay in japan. it was short, but very meaningful, beautiful and memorable experience.

for detailed kwento about having the tattoo, read my other blogs.

A new blog

Jezus With Thunders

Yep, sometimes you wonder if there is anyone on this planet capable of getting a retarded Jezus tattoo, and yes. Human stupidity never ceases to amaze me.

(Thanks a milion Lila for a horribly wonderful source, from which I will publish for some time now)

We all know the famous groundhog, but did you know that there are tattoos of him ?

And that's the tattoo of him, or at least it looks like Phil, doesn't it ?
